Cheryl Cook contacted Hope For Paws to help with a sacred, abandoned dog.
When we arrived, she stayed outside one empty house alone, shaking all the time. She was afraid to see us but still had pure eyes.
She was afraid to get close to others.
We were able to work on gaining her trust once she was safe and could not escape.
The blanket was used to protect my hand. I used it to soothe her.
Gradually she calmed down and I put down the blanket when I felt she was safe.
It took 20 minutes to get her to this point.
Now, just five more stressful seconds to get her onto my lap.
Cheryl suggested we name her Holly.
Finally, we drove home. She was a cute girl.
Holly had a shower after we arrived home. She was cute.
