This is the story about German Shepherd Adrienne (her real name is Pantera). Hope for Paws was called to save her because she was found by the riverbed. When she was rescued by Hope for Paws and found an amazing foster family by Coastal German Shepherd Rescue OC, the more amazing thing happened!
Thanks to thousands of the shared Adrienne’s rescue video, they were able to spot the family who owned Adrienne! And she was quickly reunited with her people and with her daughter, Chillona. It was said that Adrienne jumped over the fence because she got scared of the fireworks when kids were still playing with fireworks. She ran and ran and couldn’t find he way back home. Hope for paws received the phone call to save a dog on the riverbed.
The canal ran for miles and they didn’t know which way to begin their search.
After 30 minutes, Lisa Chiarelli and the photographer found the dog’s hiding spot. For weeks the dog had slept under this bridge alone, hungry and scared.
The dog was sleeping. They decided to move very quietly so they wouldn’t wake her up.
Lisa also placed a gentle snare on her to help ensure their safety.
Her hunger was stronger than her fear and this helped them build trust.
Lisa decided to name her Adrienne. Adrienne was ready to leave her old life behind and walk with them back to the car.
What a warm picture, isn’t it?
Lisa scanned her for microchip but she didn’t have one.
Adrienne got cleaned.
Adrienne is beautiful and very cute.
Coastal German Shepherd rescue found her an amazing foster family.
Hope For Paws and Coastal German Shepherd Rescue OC were contacted by the family members who were able to prove right away that she was their dog, and less than 24 hours after the video was posted, she was reunited with her family and with her daughter.
Adrienne & Chillona
Adrienne’s daughter was happy to have her mom back so they can play together.
It’s so cool and so rewarding to see Adrienne back home.
She was lost for a month, and as you can see, she was really to be back home.
Adrienne was so happy to be back home! She was obviously loved, and important things about having a collar and a name tag and a microchip were discussed to prevent this from happening again. A good lesson for all of us! You are welcome to share it again and help us continue raising awareness.
