Swans are very protective parents. The male swan, called the “cob”, can be very aggressive in order to protect his young. Simon of Wildlife Aid Foundation went out to rescue a cygnet that was stuck in a fence, near the River Thames. He had to face a very angry cob that wouldn’t let anybody near his poor baby.

Simon got the news and then he drove to rescue a cygnet that was stuck in a fence, near the River Thames.

When Simon got that household, he was led to the riverside to see the small cygnet.

When the swan family saw Simon come near, the male swan immediately swam to the fence to stand near his cygnet that was stuck in the fence and became alert.

Simon had to let the cygnet get out of the fence. It was not easy.

But the male swan was very nervous, he began to beat Simon with his strong wings.

Simon had to save the cygnet while being attacked by the male swan.

Simon got the cygnet out successfully and put it back to the river. Luckily, the cygnet was fine.

The cygnet swam quickly to his mother and the family united. Every one was happy!
