Is it true that cats and dogs are innate to hate each other? The answer is they don’t “hate” or “love” each other; both would probably rather avoid the other.
It is their natural behavior that creates this conflict. Cats like to hang back and assess the situation. Dogs’ immediate reaction seems to be a possible threat to cats. Cats instinctively tries to run away and this triggers a chase response from the dog. And that’s how the miscommunication begins. But they are actually remarkably good at getting on with each other, too, especially when both animals are just a few months old and still learning about the world. Enjoy.
